Controlled Parking in the City of Volos

Online Applications for the Permanent Resident Parking Permit Are Now Open

The City of Volos is launching a new digital Controlled Parking System (CPS) aimed at improving mobility and facilitating permanent residents. As part of this initiative, residents can submit their applications for the Permanent Resident Parking Permit online.

*    Implementation Area: The CPS applies to Zones A, B, and C in the city center. Permanent resident parking spaces are marked with blue lines on the road and feature the “P - Permanent Residents” signage.
*    Parking Permit: This permit is exclusively for permanent residents of the designated CPS zones. Each permit is valid until December 31, 2025, costs €10 per year, and grants parking rights only within the resident’s zone. One permit per household is issued.
*   Application Submission: Applications must be submitted online by clicking here: Permanent Resident Application, The first phase of applications will last for two months, until March 31, 2025.

Required Documents (in digital format):
   * Tax documents (E1, E9)
   * Valid National ID card or passport
   * Valid vehicle registration (E.I.X.) and driving license
   * Recent electricity bill
   * Legally certified declaration (via gov.gr or Citizen Service Centers (KEP))

If online submission is not possible, applicants can submit printed copies of the required documents at the Permanent Resident Support Office, which operates on working days and hours at the Urban Planning Office (1st floor), Municipality of Volos, Mikrasiaton 81, Spierer Building.

Approval notifications will be sent via email and/or SMS. The Municipal Police will conduct digital parking inspections to verify vehicles with an active Permanent Resident Parking Permit.

Additionally, physical permit stickers will be issued and must be permanently placed on a visible area of the vehicle's windshield. For more information, click here
